ABOUT EVAN
Evan Klein is a Senior Creative Leader & Communications Strategist. His career began with a formal education in filmmaking and evolved through hands-on technical, creative, and leadership roles across media, advertising, and corporate communications.
After graduating with a Film degree from Boston University, Evan joined Avid Technology as a Technical Support Representative, supporting Media Composer users and developing a strong technical foundation in professional post-production workflows. That early experience gave him a practical understanding of how creative tools are used under real production pressure and how technology and creativity intersect in professional environments.
Evan then transitioned into creative roles, working as a Video Editor at Cablevision, where he produced promotional content for OptimumTV and Pay-Per-View offerings. He went on to become a Video Editor and Producer at 30FPS, editing broadcast-quality television shows and commercials that aired on major cable networks. During this period, he built a reputation for reliability, problem solving, and close collaboration with clients and production teams.
Building on that experience, Evan founded and grew his own creative consultancy, Kleinedit. Through Kleinedit, he led editing, production, direction, graphic design, and post-production for advertising and marketing projects serving clients including Google, Xerox, Computer Associates, Citi, VH1, and CMT. His work focused on translating complex business initiatives into clear, compelling visual narratives while maintaining high creative standards under tight timelines.
Evan later joined Paramount, creating premium content for brands such as Burger King, Doritos, Coors, and Peloton. His work spanned large-scale, 360-degree campaigns tied to major events including the MTV Video Music Awards, VidCon and Upfront presentations, partnering closely with marketing, sales, and production teams to ensure creative alignment with broader strategic goals.
In 2025, Evan founded PLAY I, a community and platform created to foster honest, practical conversations about the impact of generative AI on creative work. Through live events, case studies, and shared dialogue, PLAY I brings together creatives, technologists, and industry leaders to explore how new tools are being used in real-world workflows and business contexts.
Across every chapter of his career, Evan has combined creative craft with leadership, collaboration, and an ability to operate calmly in high-stakes environments.
Evan lives in New York with his two kids and their two Boston Terriers. Outside of work, he loves travel, exploring new ideas, and staying curious about where creativity and technology intersect.
